USA Ambassador, Yuri Kim, participated today in the General Assembly of the American Chamber of Commerce in Albania.
She thanked the American Chamber for its advocacy in improving the investment climate in Albania, pushing for the standardization of tax policies and encouraging the continuation of anti-corruption reforms.
Ambassador Kim said she looks forward to working with the American Chamber to continue fostering a better business climate so that the economic partnership between the United States and Albania can move forward.
“American companies can have a key role in providing reliable and safe alternatives, so that Albania does not need to rely on unreliable providers.
American companies can also have an important role in helping rebuild Albania’s cyber capabilities in response to last year’s Iranian cybers attacks. There is no doubt that these were serious attacks, and there is also no doubt that they will continue, even if they are not from Iran, we will continue to face these. Every country has faced them and almost every company too.
We have opportunities and challenges, but challenges also offer opportunities.
We look forward to working with the American Chamber to continue fostering a better business climate so that we can advance the economic partnership between the United States and Albania,” said Ambassador Kim.
