The President of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski welcomed the meeting of the working group on constitutional changes. He reiterated his stance, underlining that nothing horrible will happen to the country, in case the Preamble includes the Bulgarian and other minorities.

“I am pro constitutional changes, I don’t think something terrible will happen to us and I don’t think the country will be in ruins if the Bulgarians are set in the Constitution, together with 6-7 minorities. However, I don’t know the further dynamic of the meeting,” declared Pendarovski.

His comments were made during a press conference with the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, who visited Skopje. The two leaders discussed ideas to increase collaboration and regional issues, such as the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.

“I’m happy we’ve had intense contacts throughout our mandates. Collaboration is in the benefit of our citizens and we wish for it to continue in the future. We agree that our countries have a key role in trying to achieve a permanent stability. The European future of our two countries is in the EU and NATO. We support the Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Kosovo,” concluded Pendarovski.

He once again welcomed the agreement reached between Kosovo and Serbia in Ohrid.

Meanwhile, Kosovo’s President stated that both countries will walk together in their European path.

“Our future, the future of our region is in the family of Euro-Atlantic countries and that is the biggest guarantee of peace and prosperity in the region. Both our countries have witnessed that no matter how hard the path, we never stop and we never steer away from it,” declared Osmani.
