Businessman Ardian Nikulaj was killed on April 19 in his bar, in Lezhë. Nikulaj was a candidate for deputy under the banner of the Social Democratic Party in the 2021 elections. While in the elections expected to be held on May 14, he was a candidate for the Municipal Council.
The Director General of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, stated in a press conference that they have uncovered the murder of Ardian Nikulaj in Shengjin. He stated that 6 arrest warrants have been issued.
While showing details of the event, Rrumbullaku added that the special investigative group that was set up immediately after the crime, has gathered a number of valuable evidence.
The entire itinerary of the perpetrator of the murder and of the other persons involved has been documented by the statements made or film footages.
“Citizen E.H., with Albanian and British citizenship, citizen R.R.S., Portuguese citizen, citizen H.J.S., British citizen, citizen H.B., British citizen, citizen H.N., British citizen, citizen S.P.H., British citizen,” said Rrumbullaku.
He indicated that they are cooperating with the international authorities to capture these people who have left the country after committing the crime.
