Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, the Speaker of the Assembly Glauk Konjufca and family of the missing people, made homage to the monument dedicated to persons violently disappeared during the war.

Kurti said that Kosovo must see the culprits from Serbia be punished for their deeds, underlining the need for international support and national mobilization.

“In five massive tombs in Serbia, so far they have found around 950 bodies, while there are another 1600 other bodies considered disappeared since the last war. We need justice, we need someone to take responsibility, we need the war criminals to pay for their actions,” he said in his speech after the homage.

Kurti was also asked regarding the meeting he and the Serbian President will hold on May 2nd in Brussels, saying that the issue of missing persons remains of urgent importance.

The Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca declared that the abduction and disappearance of thousands of people, was one of the most horrible crimes of the genocide done by Serbia.

Families of the missing persons stressed that they are disappointed, since they still don’t know of the fate of their loved ones.
