Shqipe Mehmeti-Selimi, the wife of Rexhep Selimi, has made a clarification about the lawyer David Young, for whom the Special earlier made an announcement that he will no longer defend the former member of the KLA.

Mehmeti-Selimi says that lawyer David Young remains part of Rexhep Selimi’s defense team, but that due to his health, the main lawyer will be Geoffrey Roberts.

“Dear citizens, I feel obliged to make this clarification regarding the news that is circulating today in the media that Rexhep Selimi has removed from the team his lawyer Mr. David Young. This is misinformation given to the public. Mr. David Young is still part of Rexhep Selim’s defense team.

For health reasons, it was decided in cooperation with Mr. Young that for an indefinite period the main lawyer will be Mr. Geoffrey Roberts, while co-lawyer Mr. David Young”, says her reaction.
