160 students have received excellence scholarships. The students who have received prizes in international Olympiads can also benefit scholarships.

“The main problem comes from the universities, they have received the fund despite the delays, so they have not lost their scholarships. Students have received 1,700,000 ALL for all months. It is calculated with the salary level in September. These months will be 40,000 ALL per month,” said Artan Spahiu, director of National Higher Education Funding Agency.

The scholarship of excellence is for 3 categories of students, who must fulfill certain criteria.

All the students that benefit do not pay the university fee, and must maintain the average for 3 academic years. Meanwhile, in the agreement signed between them, the universities and the National Agency for Financing of Higher Education, it is stated that at the end of their studies, they must work for 3 years in the public administration within a period of 6 years.
