Last year, 70.2 million euros were invested in water supply and sewerage. The interventions have brought a better supply situation at the country level, including efficiency in enterprises.
Citizens have running water in their houses for more than 16 hours a day. This is the average supply time in 2022, unlike 2021, that were less than 14 hours. The data comes from the last report of the local government, where it can be seen that in a general assessment, the performance in the water supply system results in an increase in 8 of the 9 measured elements.
Bills collected were at 94.7%, this is the highest level of last year. Likewise, water supply coverage has increased by 78%.
However, even though there is an improvement in this sector, they still need expansion and improvement of the service, especially in suburban urban areas.
For the year 2022, have been invested 70.2 million euros on the water supply and sewerage sector. Most of the funding was for facilities started earlier, and 2.3 million euros were financed for new facilities.
Also, 14 million euros of foreign funding were financed in this sector.
