The number of children with vision problems has increased.

Doctors refer that only from the screening program extended to primary schools, 120,000 children were visited, of which 15,000 were referred to the ophthalmologist to fix the problems that were noticed in their vision.

“From last year’s screening that we conducted this year, we found that we have a 10-13% increase in vision problems, among children. We found big problems, we found children with big internal visual problems, children who had never visited their eyes”, says Samanta Ara, doctor at “Mihal Grameno” school.

“Children today are giving great importance to the phone, staying in front of the TV for a long time, staying in the late hours in front of the phone. I believe that this has caused damage to these children”, says the doctor.

Ophthalmologists advise parents to be more careful with their children in order to take them to a specialist on time so that problems can be caught in time.
