The government has proposed the draft law for changes in the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Albania.

In the draft law approved at the meeting of the Council of Ministers, it is foreseen that persons who have committed crimes against minors and those who are accused of domestic violence will not have the right to request a short judgment.

Until now, the request for short judgment is not allowed to those crimes that have to be punished with life imprisonment.
