The first nursery school opens in the Astir area. With a capacity for 170 children, it helps parents by offering a service with the same standards as all other preschool education institutions built in Tirana.

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, said that the nursery provides solutions to the problems.

“Our task is to look ahead and find solutions. The solution we have found is breaking a taboo because today we are opening the largest nursery in Tirana, for which we have rented a space, due to the impossibility of another place in the area of ​​’Astiri’.

From a temporary solution, it can turn into a standard solution for those areas where we have difficulty finding a field; where only build buildings and do not leave land for public buildings,” said Erion Veliaj, Mayor of Tirana.

Veliaj promised that the next mandate will be the mandate of areas such as Astiri, where all problems with kindergartens and nurseries will be put to an end, and 5 new schools will be built.

“The next mandate will be the mandate of areas like Astiri, where we want to go to the end corner. We will start with the little ones, from nursery, to kindergarten, to school. We have 5 sites for schools, where work is expected to start soon, now that the prices have stabilized after the inflation of the war.

The new nursery, according to Veliaj, means that the residents of Astir will receive the same service as in every other part of Tirana.
