The Supreme Court overturned the recourse of Arben Ahmetaj’s lawyers, regarding the inspections carried out in the villas of his partner and ex-wife.

The Appeal of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime rejected the complaint filed by Eriola Hoxha, partner of Ahmetaj, as well as that filed by his ex-wife Elda Dinaj, to remove the confiscations of the villas located in Hamallaj and Palasë.

Ahmetaj’s lawyer emphasized in the appeal that the inspections carried out in the apartment of the MP’s partner, Erjola Hoxha, are contrary to the Constitution and violate the sovereignty of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania, due to the MP’s immunity and the fact that he lived in that house.

Ahmetaj is also under investigation by the Special Prosecutor’s Office regarding his involvement in the incinerators case.
