Erion Veliaj, the mayor of Tirana, delivered his speech at the closing event of the campaign in the Olympic Park in the capital.
He said that despite the obstacles and skepticism, every work they have done for the city has turned into an added value for the city.
“Today our transforming power has changed Tirana corner by corner. Today Tirana has 40 new schools, among the most beautiful in the region, today Tirana has nurseries and kindergartens to be envied, today Tirana has transformed public spaces.
They said ‘don’t touch my square, don’t touch my bazaar, don’t touch my castle, don’t touch Astir, don’t touch my boulevard’, but every work that the Socialist Party touches turns into a value for our city and turns to a space where everyone is equal, where we all realize our aspirations and dreams in Tirana,” said Veliaj.
He said that together with Prime Minister Rama, today things have been done in Tirana that before seemed impossible. Veliaj added that today Tirana is in the center of Europe’s attention, when before it was the last in the Balkans.
