The PEi electronic identification device had problems from the moment the voting process opened at 7:00 a.m. in many centers.
For this reason, the secretary for Legal Affairs of the Socialist Party, Eridian Salianji, has asked the Central Election Commission to approve the continuation of voting even without the device.
“Since that time, as you are aware, in all the districts where the voting is taking place, there have been numerous problems in the operation of the electronic identification device, which blocked the voting processes for these voting centers. Based on the Electoral Code, we ask you to take immediate measures for the continuation of voting in these polling stations where the PEi equipment does not work, ordering the immediate start of voting,” the request said.
