Chief Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi reported on the latest figures regarding the electoral process in the 61 municipalities of Albania.

In a press conference, Celibashi named the municipalities with the most problematics so far and also spoke about the SP denunciations on two of the opposition candidates for violating the electoral silence.

“There are three denunciations for two electoral subjects, two from the SP and one from the “Together We Win” coalition. There is one in Elbasan for Luçiano Boçi, another from the Albanian Helsinki Committee for irregularities when distributing electoral materials. There are also 24 denunciations from different citizens. Municipalities with the most problems are Tirana, Dropulli, Kamza, Konispoli, Lezha and Tropoja. In reference to the content of these denunciations, they are related to irregularities during the exercise of duty by the commissioners. Active or passive corruptions, there are complaints about voter intimidation in Peshkopi and Tirana; complaints about electoral content on social networks; complaints about family voting in some polling stations,” said Celibashi.

He also stated that 998,633 voters have been identified through the identification device. Meanwhile, 93.86% of the voters had their fingerprints taken, while the rest voted only with an identity card.
