Sali Berisha emphasized that the electronic voting in Kamza was manipulated, as earlier polls showed his coalition was ahead of the Socialist Party.
Berisha added that there are indications that the result may have been manipulated in Vora and Elbasan as well, where SP also won and electronic voting was applied.
“In Kamza we were 14% ahead of the SP, meanwhile digital manipulations showed them leading with 10 thousand votes against the coalition. It’s a digital result and we decisively refuse it. Polls in Kamza are wholly manipulated. When I talk about Kamza, I mean everywhere else where there was a digital process. Kamza proves this, we’ve had information and indications that the system has undergone dubious controls,” declared Berisha.
The candidate of the “Together We Win” coalition for Kamza, Arjan Hoxha, who lost against socialist Rakip Suli, also declared he won’t recognize the result in this municipality.
“The electronic devices were a total failure, because the electronic identification device didn’t work in any voting center. We ask for the servers in each device to be seized and be investigated. We will protect the votes. A clear proof of the manipulation is the result for Kamza. Suli got 10 thousand votes in 2019, when he ran for the municipality alone, but today when he has an opponent, he got 24 thousand votes. This is the result of a machine, 20 thousand votes in more than two years is impossible. We will never recognize this result,” said Hoxha.
