The Day Against Homophobia started with the unfurling of the flag, to move on to holding the national forum against hate speech that affects every individual beyond the LGBT community.

“Let’s look at the issue of discrimination not only with the LGBT community, but with all those communities that are victims of social exclusion and especially hate speech,” said Altin Hazizaj, president of the PINK Albania Embassy.

Hate speech, bullying is a major problem even among children. According to reports from the platform “I Sigurt. Al” and the “Alo 116” line, the cases of denunciations have been increasing.

The experts brought to attention the case of a 14-year-old boy who turned to Alo 116, after he had attempted suicide as a result of being bullied by his friends at school.
