Fredi Beleri’s son spoke to the Greek media where he said that he had contacted his father twice while he is in prison.

He told that at the moment he informed him that he had won the May 14 elections for the Municipality of Himara, Beleri got happy. Furthermore, Petro Beleri said that psychologically his father is like a “rock”, but he requested his transfer to the hospital after he showed some other health problems.

“I have spoken with him twice, once on Thursday after the arrest and yesterday, at Tuesday, I saw him officially for the first time, only five minutes. Psychologically he is like a stone, he was happy because it is a long-term job”, said Beleri’s son.

He was asked to comment on Rama’s statements and the accusations made against his father, he said that they are seeking the help of Greece and Europe in this matter.

“We require the help of Greece and Europe. This is not right. The lawyers told us that in the documents of the case there is no evidence for what they are accusing him,” he added, further emphasizing that Prime Minister Edi Rama was personally engaged in the campaign for the Municipality of Himara.
