Prime Minister Edi Rama has welcomed the decision to extend by two months the agreement on the export of Ukrainian grains through the ports of the state in the Black Sea.
Through a post on Twitter, Rama congratulates Turkish President Erdogan for his decisive role in this decision.
“Ensuring an uninterrupted supply of vital supply of grain to the world markets is of critical importance for ensuring food security worldwide”, writes Rama, among other things.
A day before, the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, announced that the Black Sea Cereals Initiative, which enables the export of Ukrainian cereals through the state’s Black Sea ports, has been extended for another two months.
“With the efforts of our state, with the support of our Russian friends, and with the contribution of our Ukrainian friends, it has been decided to postpone the grain agreement for another two months,” Erdogan announced a day before the agreement expired.
