Deputy of the Democratic Party, Jorida Tabaku, announced the start of a listening tour throughout Albania, where the Democratic Party will meet with citizens to analyze the results of the May 14 elections.
During a press release at the end of the meeting of the parliamentary group, Tabaku said that the opposition suffered on May 14 one of the deepest losses during the transition and therefore a reflection is needed. She added that the factors that led to such a result should be found, and from there the recovery should begin.
“We cannot act as if nothing happened. The discussions in the parliamentary group were also related to the situation of DP and the decisions we have to make. On May 14, the opposition experienced a defeat that, in our opinion, is the deepest of the last 30 years.
In order to make decisions and move forward, action must be taken, we must understand what happened. First, understand how it is possible that we reached to that result.
We need to start a listening tour with all the democrats, but also the Albanians, to understand how we can rise again”, said Tabaku.
