Jeffrey Hovenier, the ambassador of the United States to Kosovo, has reacted in relation to the situation in the north of Kosovo, where there was a clash between the police and Serbian citizens who tried to prevent the entry into the office of the elected mayor of the north.

Through a post on Twitter, the American ambassador emphasizes that the USA condemns the actions of the Kosovo’s authorities in the municipal buildings in the north.

Hovenier also calls for an immediate end to the violent actions.

“The United States condemns the ongoing actions of the Kosovo’s authorities to enter municipal buildings in the north of Kosovo. Today’s violent measures must be stopped immediately,” the ambassador wrote on Twitter.
