Albanians are leaving their country more and more each day, most of them intend to integrate in other countries and never return.
According to INSTAT, 46,460 Albanians left as immigrants last year. This figure turns out to be 10.5% higher than that of 2021, when the number of refugees was around 42 thousand. But what stands out from the public statistics in the case of the population is the fact that emigration in 2022 has reached the highest level since 2014.
In 2014, there were 46,525 emigrants, that is, about 65 more immigrants than in 2014.
Based on these data, it turns out that 1.66% of the population, or 1 in 60 resident Albanians, left Albania for emigration. Referring to the data for last year, 127 individuals, or 5.3 Albanians every 1 hour, have finally left the country every day, and this is probably a high figure that should be taken into consideration.
