Two London tourists arrested for selling drugs in Albanian beach

Two tourists from England have been arrested by Himara police, after distributing hard drugs during the tourist season in Dhërmi.

During the physical control and that of the premises where these citizens were accommodated, the Police services found a quantity of narcotics of the GHB (Gamma-hydroxybutyrate) type, divided into 37 doses, which were seized as material evidence, together with 2 mobile devices.

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that these 2 citizens had come as tourists from England to Dhërmi, and in cooperation with each other, distributed narcotics in doses, in this coastal area, mainly to other tourists, in night clubs and in the activities of various types of entertainment that take place on the coast during the tourist season.

The procedural materials in their charge were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office for further action.

“The Section of Illegal Traffic and Narcotics in DVP Vlora, in cooperation with the services of the Himar Police Station, following successive operations with a focus on preventing, identifying and cracking down on criminal activities in the field of narcotics, based on the information provided by informational intelligence that some foreign citizens who came as tourists to the coastal area of ​​Dhërmi, carried out the criminal activity of distributing hard drugs, organized and finalized the coded police operation “Parts 6″, as a result of which the citizens were arrested: G. S., 38 years old and R. B., 28 years old, both residents of London,” the police inform.
