On June 22, the Belgrade Symphony Orchestra will hold a Gala Concert at TOB. Everything comes within the framework of the “Open Balkans” as well as the 100th anniversary of its establishment.

“This is the first time that Zubin Mehta comes to Albania and for the orchestra is the first time. It starts on June 20 in Serbia, then on June 22 in Tirana and then the same concert goes to Skopje”, – Etrita Ibrahimi, pianist.

Zubin Mehta, is one of the most popular conductors around the world, who comes to Albania for the first time. His exuberance has captivated the public all over the world for years.

“For such a personality to come to Albanian land has not happened before, a conductor who is probably the best in the world today… it is a great honor for Albania, which is eager to have figures of this caliber”. – said Etrita Ibrahimi, pianist.

This historical event comes at a difficult moment between Serbia and Kosovo. A concert planned earlier, between Albania and Serbia.

“Art brings together nations, it does not divide them, I think it happens at a perhaps a little delicate moment, after all, the Albanian people are hospitable, there is no reason to close the doors to artists, whether Serbian or Greek”, said Etrita Ibrahimi, pianist.

Zubin Mehta is known for his support of peace causes. Therefore, even in this concert, it aims to unite peoples and cultures.

“I hope it is the beginning of a peace announced before, basically we all want peace, it is a very good message that we give to the world, the hospitality towards the Serbian orchestra”, said Etrita Ibrahimi, pianist.

Demands to see the Gala concert of the Belgrade Symphony Orchestra up close have been high.

On the night of June 22, will perform”Symphony no. 7″ by Beethoven and “Fantastic Symphony” by Hector Berlioz.

“Zubin Mehta is one of those who has made history in world conducting, we are in for surprises because you never know how an artist will react in front of an audience. An energy is created between the audience and the artists and it changes the whole atmosphere”, said Etrita Ibrahimi, pianist.
