Minister of Health Ogerta Manastriliu said in a statement to the media after the meeting of the council of ministers that in this meeting the government has approved the draft law for medical use.

She said that the government took this decision after the national consultation where 61 of the citizens spoke in favor, while emphasizing that the National Agency for the control of cannabis will also be established.

“The draft law on cannabis, for medical and industrial purposes, has been approved. From the national consultation, where 61% of the citizens voted in favor, some ministries have started work. This draft law defines the regulatory framework for how the process will be initiated. The goal is the regulation and shelling of the process of control and supervision of production, processing”.
