The Minister of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu and the Minister of Education, Evis Kushi, met with the medical students this Friday where they proposed their employment and contribution to the homeland after completing their studies, for a certain period of time.
In order for this idea to be implemented, according to Kushi, it must be in agreement with the students.
“We need to have an agreement as all together, we all understand how important this is. One of our ideas is that each of you, all students of the general medicine program, starting next year, should sign an agreement in advance with the university and the two ministries, that after your studies you will stay for a minimum of three years contribution to Albania, to society, to the homeland. That it is also patriotic, apart from the others,” declared the minister.
Manastirliu said that this is not only a contribution to the country, but also an opportunity for students to get more experience for professional training.
“What we propose is not a unique practice in the world, it is a practice used by many countries, which want and design and work not only for today, but also for tomorrow. We work for that great commitment that we all have together, to take care of the health of children, parents, grandparents and this is what guides us in our daily work. All these policies and programs that we undertake are done with this aim, to anticipate the challenges that the world is facing, just like us, but also to build programs that have sustainability and above all, to be realized at the right time,” the minister declared.
While the rector of the university of medicine, Prof. Doc. Arben Gjata stopped at the reforms undertaken by the government during these years, which is the retention of young people in Albania.
