The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, participated in the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2023 (URC23), which was jointly organized by the United Kingdom and Ukraine, on June 21-22, 2023, in London.
Xhaçka emphasized that Albania will continue its assistance to Ukraine, as she underlined that by supporting the fight for freedom and the future of Ukraine, we are supporting the future of the entire globe.
“Albania will do everything it can. Prime Minister Rama has pledged, together with Montenegro and North Macedonia, to help in the reconstruction of Irpin. We will provide support at the local level, just as we will continue with our assistance to help Ukraine defend itself, or with our assistance at the diplomatic level,” said the Albanian chief diplomat.
The second Ukraine conference brought together governments, civil society and the private sector to show support for Ukraine’s economic recovery and prosperity. 60 countries participated in this event, 40 of which were represented by heads of state and foreign ministers. During it, Minister Xhaçka met with counterparts from North Macedonia, Montenegro, the United Kingdom, Austria, Croatia, Azerbaijan and Moldova with whom she discussed issues of security and integration.
