Vacationers in Pogradec will have more public spaces on the lake line. Over 30 percent of the beaches will be free, while the municipality has also placed umbrellas that can be used by tourists.

“From 20 to 80 that was before, to 30% public beach, we decided to give the addition to the most favorite parts of the city. There is the beach in front of the branch, apart from that there is also an initiative to serve the citizens as decently as possible, to place free umbrellas on all the beaches, buoys will be placed, watchmen will be placed and someone who will take care of the beaches”, says Elenja Karafili.

Even though we are at the beginning of the hot days, the first visitors have started to appear in the Pogradec lake.

“So far, there is a significant improvement compared to other years, since the gravel that replaces the sand has been laid, and these tents have been installed. The thing is that people are not fully aware of how to maintain them, they destroy them, they throw garbage, if you would have come yesterday you could only find garbage”, says a citizen.

Pogradec is known for its low prices and for the peace it offers, while in recent years there have been investments in night life venues.
