Montenegro Prosecutorial Council has dismissed the special prosecutor Lidija Mitrovic, as it considers her unworthy to perform the function of the prosecutor.

This decision was taken after the Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SST) of Montenegro filed an indictment against her due to the suspicion that she misused her official position.

The Prosecution Council has announced that a decision has been made to temporarily dismiss the special prosecutor Mitrović from her position as a prosecutor, because, as it is said, criminal proceedings have been initiated against her for an offense that makes her unfit to perform the duties of a prosecutor.
