The American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, has had a telephone conversation with the head of the government of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.

He announced the news himself in a post on social networks, where he says that he encouraged the de-escalation of the situation in the north of Kosovo and an immediate return to dialogue.

“Today I spoke with Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti to encourage de-escalation in the north of Kosovo and an immediate return to the Dialogue facilitated by the EU. The EU’s three-point plan is the way forward,” he said.

Yesterday, the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, also announced that he had talked with Secretary Blinken.

Blinken has insisted on calming the situation in the north of Kosovo and has supported the European plan for expansion, said Vučić after the conversation with the American chief diplomat.

As Vučić said through a post on Instagram, during the conversation with Blinken, he requested the release of the Serbs arrested in the north of Kosovo.
