The regular use of the internet for cultural information or activities is highlighted in the latest report compiled by statistics experts of the Institute of Statistics of Albania.
The report shows that men have the highest percentages of internet use for cultural purposes, except for the activity of “online purchase of books, magazines, newspapers”, where women are the most frequent users.
Regarding the year 2022, it appears that young people in the 16-24 age group used the internet the most for all cultural activities.
90.9% of them used it to listen to music, a relatively high figure compared to the 16-74 age group, where 67% used the internet for this purpose.
Another purpose of internet use is reading news in online newspapers and magazines.
74.4% of the 25-54 age group and 51.9% of the 55-74 age group have used the internet for this purpose.
