Starting from yesterday, the Cultural Week of Montenegro is taking place. Some activities have been developed in Tirana and Shkodër within this week.

An exhibition of the traditional folk clothing of Montenegro was held today in the fortress of Tirana.

Marinko Çullafiq, representative of the Montenegrin minority, told the Summer Cube show on Euronews Albania that the Montenegrin tradition was that Montenegrins were buried in folk clothes, which makes them very rare today.

“From the Montenegrin tradition, during the reign of King Nicholas, every Montenegrin family had the intention of buying a folk dress, they were very expensive hand-made clothes. Every Montenegrin bequeathed to be buried in folk clothes, which led to a decrease in these clothes, which are now only found in museums,” he said.
