The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Pristina has started investigations after today’s incident that happened in the Assembly of Kosovo.
This was announced by the Prosecutor’s Office itself through a communique where it is said that all the necessary investigative actions have been taken, including the taking of statements from the parties involved in this case.
“The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Pristina announces to the public that the State Prosecutor has initiated investigations into the criminal offense of ‘Assault’, according to the ‘KPRK’, regarding the incident that occurred today in the Assembly of Kosovo, and has authorized police in undertaking all the necessary investigative actions, including also receiving the statements of the parties involved in this case”, says the announcement of the Basic Prosecutor’s Office of Pristina.
Chairman of the Assembly of Kosovo Glauk Konjufca warned the MPs who are blocking the floor that he may expel them from the session.
“Deputies who are not vacating the floor, I give them a warning to leave the session”, said Konjufca.
The extraordinary session comes after the continuation of the regular session was interrupted.
Konjufca said that “what happened in the Assembly of Kosovo is really unacceptable, the use of violence is also punishable, condemnable by all of us”, said Konjufca adding that “if there was a physical attack in the Assembly of Kosovo, he will be dealt with by the law, as our laws and law enforcement say”
Later, Konjufca condemned the violence and said that the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has agreed to give up his speech, which was interrupted due to physical fights.
