President Bajram Begaj declared from Pustec during the visit he made with his counterpart from North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, that the relations between the two countries are strong and they are working towards EU membership.
In the Pustec Municipality, where the Macedonian community lives, Begaj said that the Albanians in North Macedonia and the Macedonian minority in the Pustec Municipality are important in the relations between the two countries.
Albanians in North Macedonia are very well integrated, have contributed to the formation of the state of North Macedonia and are undoubtedly active in political and economic life. The challenges between the two countries are great, we must face the challenges together. One of these challenges is to have well-being for our communities, for the Macedonian community in Pustec and the Albanians in North Macedonia, to create conditions and I believe that this visit will serve to strengthen cooperation,” Begaj said.
