Shkodra became once again the cultural center of Albania.
For three nights in a row, “Zafest” brought together singers from all over the world, and not only.
The 7th edition of the festival, organized by Albanian singer Vlashent Sata, started in the courtyard of the Inglizi Clock Tower and ended at the Castle of Rozafa.
The guests shared emotions they experienced during these magical art nights.
“It is very beautiful, especially this place. I am speechless. It’s all fantastic. I have known Vlashent [Sata] for many years and he has always talked to me about his country. Now I am happy that I listened to him and came to discover his Albania, which is wonderful,” said Swedish singer Isabel Sörling.
“For me it is the first time in Albania and I must say that this place, Shkodra, is wonderful and this scene is a real magic. Vlashent [Sata] contacted me and we connected immediately, a chemistry that seemed as if we had known each other for a long time. I can say that it is the start of a friendship. The audience response was fantastic and to see people who don’t speak your language but sing along with you is fantastic. An experience I want to repeat,” shared Italian singer, songwriter, rapper and producer, Davide Shorty.
The founder and creator of “Zafest”, Vlashent Sata, who also served as the artistic director, said that once again, the festival achieved its goal.
“It took a lot of effort to succeed and I am very happy and glad that we achieved the result. We want to maintain the [high] level, preserve the good and the beautiful, and I am glad that people enjoyed and embraced it, and that it has been a good chance for them and for us.”
“Zafest” was made possible the support of the Ministry of Culture, the European Union and the French, Italian and Swedish embassies to Albania.
