Interior Minister Taulant Balla has gone in the Local Police Directorate of Korçë.

His visit comes after the serious incident that took place in Maliq, where yesterday the man killed his wife and threw her into the sewer, while today he killed himself after confronting the police.

He was declared wanted and decided not to surrender to the officers at the moment when he was found and killed himself.

This recent times, the couple had arguments with each other, where the victim was provided with a protection order, while the reason for the divorce requested by her.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, the victim’s mother said that her daughter was under a protection order while adding that she had problems with her husband.

Among other things, she accused the girl’s sister-in-law of being involved in the serious incident as, according to her, she gave the order to kill the 46-year-old.
