Osumi River has become an attraction for the citizens of Berat and but not only. You find a lot of tourists there, who choose to enjoy the beauty that the city offers from one window.

Between the mountains, the flow of the Osum River, welcomes youth and eldery every day.

“We come with friends, we enjoy ourselves, we bathe, the water is flowing, clean, the sand is good, Osum river is not dangerous. Tourists always come, there are visits that come very often, yesterday there were all those tourists, full of people, children, parents, and it is a very beautiful place, the water is clean”.

Every year, Osumi is getting the importance it deserves. Annual attendees manage to make a difference many years ago.

“It’s been 19 or 20 years that people have been bathing, before the women of the village came here to wash clothes, get water for irrigation and still get water from pumps to irrigate the lands from the river”, said a citizen.

“We like it here, we are locals, we grew up here we come since we were little, we have spent our childhood here, with our friends, neighbors and friends, we used to fish, we have the bridge here, an old and beautiful thing, despite the fact that the bridge needs some repairs. Tourist come to drink, tourists come here to enjoy themselves”, said a citizen

A developing area, which also requires better infrastructure.

“In my opinion, open a bar with 15 sunbeds somewhere, open a playground for children to play. Many come from Berat, especially in the month of July, there are many families from Berat, young children.

The need for guards and better security conditions would increase tourism in this area even more.
