A 48-year-old Albanian, whose identity has not been disclosed, was arrested by the Trieste police on the charge of “Exploitation of prostitution”.

The 48-year-old was declared wanted after the Court of Bologna sentenced him in absentia to 3 years and 4 months in prison.

The man was stopped at an intersection in Miramares and has been escorted to the Coroneo prison where he will serve his sentence.

The Albanian lured girls from Russia and Ukraine by organizing dancing competitions and then forced them to engage in prostitution.

After the girls came to Italy they were mistreated and forced under numerous threats to go out on the streets and go with different clients against payment.

The activity of the 48-year-old was discovered after the police report of one of the girls exploited by him.
