A German citizen was arrested by the Kosovo Police on August 2, against whom Germany, through Interpol, had issued an international arrest warrant.

The police said that the arrested person is suspected of the criminal offense of “abuse of children in pornography”.

According to the announcement, the arrest was made in Lipjan at 11:50.

For him, the judicial authorities have imposed a 48-hour detention measure.

Kosovo is not a member of the International Criminal Police Organization, as it failed to join this organization twice.

International Police Agency (Interpol), which, in addition to police cooperation, would enable Kosovo to issue international arrest warrants. However, the authorities cooperate with this organization and in the past have made arrests based on arrest warrants issued by Interpol.
