It was signed in 2020, but the agreement on the air corridor between Kosovo and Albania has not yet been fully implemented.
In a communication to the media, the Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Liburn Aliu, stated that its full implementation could soon begin.
“The corridors are defined, but they must be confirmed as such in order to become planable for international flights”, said Aliu.
Aliu informed that there is a will for this also on the part of the Albanian authorities with whom they have discussed this issue.
“I think that the month of August is the deadline that should be implemented. The will exists”, said Liburn Aliu, Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure
The implementation of this agreement would cause many flights to and from Kosovo to be shortened. Some time ago, the state of Kosovo also signed an agreement with Montenegro, which allows the use of the airspace of this state by planes flying from Pristina Airport.
