Today (August 6, 2023) is the 115th anniversary of the birth of Eqerem Çabej, one of the most important figures of Albanian academic life, who through his research and publications has taken the place of a key authority in terms of linguistics, ethnology, literature and language Albanian.

President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, shared a post on Facebook in his memory, expressing respect and gratitude for Çabej’s work.

He writes in his post that Eqrem Çabej deserves and will forever deserve the respect and gratitude of Albanian generations for centuries.

“I express all my respect and gratitude as the President of the Republic of Albania to Prof. Eqrem Çabeji today on the 115th anniversary of his birth, whose life and work make our great academician the most representative name of Albanian sciences.

For everything he gave to our country, people and nation, Eqrem Çabej deserves and will forever deserve the honor and gratitude of Albanian generations for centuries”, – writes President Begaj.
