Serbia strengthens relations with Iran, Serbian deputy minister orders weapons in Tehran

A Serbian delegation visited Iran last weekend.

The news was announced by the Foreign Ministry of Iran, where it is said that Serbian Deputy Foreign Minister Goran Aleksic was in Tehran where he met with his counterpart to hold the second round of political consultations.

In this round of consultations, based on regional developments and international events, the parties expressed their willingness to expand cooperation between Iran and Serbia in various fields.

The Serbian Deputy Minister described his visit as constructive and in line with the advancement of relations between Tehran and Belgrade.

He underlined that the policy of the Serbian government is to expand relations in all fields with friendly countries, especially with Iran. Appreciating the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the territorial integrity of Serbia, he emphasized that the President of Serbia wants to develop relations with Tehran in all existing areas.

According to some media, during this meeting it was said that Belgrade will also buy weapons from Tehran, but there is no official statement.

We remind that Serbia is also buying drones from China.
