Three individuals were killed and three others were injured in a shooting incident on Friday in a city near the Tuzla canton in Bosnia and Herzegovina, announced the Ministry of Internal Affairs of this canton.

The suspect, Nermin Sulejmanović, 35 years old, was found dead by police forces in the northeastern part of the city of Bosna Gradačac. He had committed suicide.

“Sulejmanović shot and killed his ex-wife and two other men, a father and son, with a firearm. He also injured a police officer, as well as another man and a woman at different locations in Gradačac,” reported the Prosecutor’s Office in Tuzla.

“The Police are on the ground. The investigation will be conducted by the duty prosecutor in cooperation with the investigators from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.”

“The Police found him dead in his car, and the police operation is ongoing,” said Hajrudin Mehanović, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Tuzla canton, to Radio Free Europe.

The pursuit of the suspect lasted for several hours. He had posted details about the killings in two separate posts on the social media platform Instagram, but those contents were later removed by the social media platform itself.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed that the videos shared on social networks by the suspect have been deleted.
