Tomorrow and for 1 week in a row, until August 24, the great pilgrimage of the Bektashians to Mount Tomorri. In order to avoid precisely the problems related to this large organization and to ensure that everything goes well, DVP Berat has undertaken a detailed plan of measures.
The Police of Berat in cooperation with the Berat, Kuçovo and Skrapar Police Stations, based on a detailed plan of measures, are fully engaged in order to ensure public order and safety, prevent crime and increase road safety, the movement of normal traffic pedestrian vehicles on the road and in the tourist areas,
during the pilgrimage to “Tomorri Mountain”.
It was the Deputy Director for Public Safety in the Berat Local Police Directorate, Director Luan Mema, who in a communication to the media informed that the Berat police have taken a plan of measures to guarantee order and public safety during the pilgrimage to the mountain of Tomorri.
In implementation of this plan of measures – said Mema – additional services have been planned on all the road axes that lead to the mountain of Tomorri as well as in the external premises of the cult object (Teqesa) on this mountain. He also explained the movement of vehicles during the ascent and descent from the mountain as well as traffic restrictions.

The route for drivers going towards Mount Tomorri (towards the teke) will be: “Entrance of the city of Berat – Kombinati roundabout – Ring of the city – Unaza roundabout – Plirëzi intersection – Kulmaku roundabout”.
The itineraries for drivers returning from Mount Tomorri (from Tekeja) will be: “Tekeja e Kulmakut-Bargullaz-Pronovik-Poliçan-Uznovë-Main road “Antipatrea”-Roundabout of Kombinati” and “Teqja e Kulmakut-Novaj- Bogovë-Poliçan-Uznovë-Main street “Antipatrea”-Kombinat roundabout”.
Drivers and pilgrims coming from the city of Çorovodë are advised to use the “Çorovodë-Gjerbës-Teqeja e Kulmaku” road axis and vice versa.
Limitations:
For vehicles: On the road axes “Vlashuk Kuçovo-Berat”, “Ura Kuçit-Dimal-Berat”, “Pobrat-Dimal-Berat”, “Berat-Mali i Tomorri”, “Berat-Çorovode” and “Çorovode-Gjerbës-Mali” of Tomorri”, heavy tonnage vehicles will not be allowed to circulate, from 06:00 – 24:00, during all the days of the pilgrimage.
Buses, vans with more than 8 people and minibuses will not be allowed to circulate on the “Plirëz – Teqeja e Kulmakut – Mali i Tomorri” road axis.
Due to the parameters of the road, in the “Plirëz-Teqeja e Kulmaku” road segment, vehicles will move in a convoy and overtaking will not be allowed. Also, parking and resting of vehicles on road axes is prohibited. The drivers must follow the instructions of the Police officers, for the places where it will be allowed to stay and park the vehicles.
