Ministry of the Interior of North Macedonia is unable to identify the person who raised the flag with the map of Greater Albania at the gathering on August 11, when the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, was invited to Tetovo.

For this, the police have published a photo of the person, asking for the help of citizens who invite them to inform the nearest police station if they have information.

Criminal charges have already been filed against the two mayors of the municipalities of Çair and Tetovë for disobeying the laws of the country by displaying only the Albanian flag and not the state flag.

Albin Kurti’s visit a few days ago to the municipalities with an Albanian majority in North Macedonia was accompanied by debates in the Macedonian public opinion, the reason for this was the waving of the flag of Greater Albania and according to the highest political leaders in North Macedonia the behavior used during that visit was nationalistic.

There were also harsh reactions in Belgrade, where Serbian President Aleksandar Vučič accused Prime Minister Kurti of posing a threat to neighboring countries where Albanians live.
