A 61-year-old man from South Korea, wanted internationally for fraud with large financial values, was arrested on Monday near Rinas airport.

Stephan Morgenstern, accused of creating pyramid schemes at the international level, was waiting near the airport for his wife who was coming from Dubai to Tirana.

He is accused of embezzling 28 million euros together with other people through pyramid schemes.

During the period March 27, 2016 – November 7, 2020, these citizens have defrauded 2,156 citizens, with a total monetary loss of 40,703,930,904 KRW (South Korean currency) or about 28,000,000 euros,” the police announced.
