While Italian music is in mourning for the death of one of its best singer-songwriters, Toto Cotugno, Prime Minister Rama has expressed his condolences.

He shared a post on Facebook where he says that he and the singer-songwriter were supposed to meet in Vlora this year, but as he said, “God decided to take him to himself”.

Rama also writes that his songs are forever recorded in the hearts of many Albanians.

“You were a great, true Italian, we were supposed to meet this summer in Vlora, but God decided to let you rest in peace, while with us your songs remain recorded forever in the hearts of many Albanians.

Thank you for everything Toto Cutugno, it was a privilege to live at the same time with a legend like you”, – writes Rama.
