The Ministry of Defense has provided information about the fire situation in Albania. Ministry of Defense informs that:

15 fires have been extinguished in different areas of the country during the last 24 hours, while intensive work is being done on only 2 active fires to neutralize them.

“Throughout the night and without interruption, work is being done at the Elbasan waste collection site, for the encapsulation of the foci after the large-scale fire, yesterday afternoon. 71 civil emergency forces and effective Armed Forces under the coordination of the Civil Defense Agency have made it possible to isolate the fires. 16 fire-fighting vehicles and 10 auxiliary vehicles have joined this operation, improving the difficult situation created by the high temperatures created by the burning of waste”, informs Ministry of Defense.
