The war takes place in Ukraine, while the holidays take place in Albania.

Proof of these events are the numbers given by the Ministry of Tourism with the flow of Russian and Ukrainian tourists who came in the first 6 months of the year.

Specifically, Albania was booked and visited until June 30 by 23,640 Ukrainians and 8,150 Russians.

Compared to the first half of last year, the number of Ukrainians has increased by 103%, while the number of tourists originating from Russia has suffered a slight decrease.

The data for Albania suggest that the armed conflict in the Ukrainian territory has not prevented the residents of the two countries from traveling for tourist purposes, if they also take into consideration the circulation in other countries.

Open roads in the west of Ukraine and the liberal policy of the west with Russian tourists seem to have been effective in the tourist outflows, while the opposite has happened in the two eastern states, where visitors have been significantly reduced.
