In the local foreign exchange market, the US dollar strengthened its position against the Albanian lek on Monday compared to the weekend, while the euro saw a decline.
According to the official exchange rate provided by the Bank of Albania, the US dollar gained strength by 0.39 lek and is now being exchanged at 100.28 Albanian lek, whereas the euro experienced a decrease of 0.13 lek, currently traded at 108.29 Albanian lek.
The British pound, when compared to the previous day, saw a depreciation of 0.07 lek, bringing it down to 126.61 Albanian lek.
Meanwhile, the Swiss franc is being traded at 113.40 Albanian lek, marking an increase of 0.16 lek compared to the previous day.
The Bank of Albania views the exchange rate as stable and reflective of market supply and demand dynamics, influenced by seasonal factors that currently coincide with the summer season, resulting in higher currency inflows into the country.
