In the initial seven months of this year, Kosovo has witnessed a noteworthy trend in trade with Germany. The value of exports from Kosovo to Germany has surged to 52 million euros during this period, while imports from Germany to Kosovo have reached a substantial 414 million euros.
This development was disclosed during a meeting between the German-Kosovar Economic Chamber and a distinguished German delegation keen on gaining insights into Kosovo’s economic landscape.
Nora Hasani, Director of the German-Kosovar Economic Chamber, was part of the delegation that welcomed the high-level German visitors. The meeting, organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s German Political Foundation (KAS), shed light on the deepening economic ties between Kosovo and Germany.
The statistics revealed a noteworthy fact: Kosovo stands as a primary business partner for Germany since the post-war period. The data illustrates this partnership, with Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) amounting to 92 million euros during the first half of this year. In parallel, Kosovo’s exports to Germany have surged to 52 million euros in the first seven months of this year, even though imports from Germany to Kosovo remain substantial at 414 million euros.
This delegation, comprising leaders from various German organizations, chambers, and economic offices, showcased a keen interest in exploring the economic dimensions of the Kosovo-Germany partnership.
